Awards Officer - ECW - (210001GZ)
The Opportunity
Save the Children is the second grant agent for the Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Pooled Fund in Syria with overall responsibility for the delivery of the ECW funding with partners in the North East of the country.
Reporting to the ECW Sr. Manager, the Awards Officer provides overall coordination, data verification and report writing to support the implementation and deliverables of the award management cycle within the ECW with implementing partners in NES. The Awards Officer is responsible for day-to-day coordination and administration around sub-award agreements.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
• University degree in Business Administration or project management or relevant domain.
• Highly developed interpersonal and English + Arabic
• Two years’ experience working with awards/grants, contracts & sub agreements
• Relevant experience supporting donor funded projects with International NGO’s
• Strong report writing and analytical skills and strategic planning abilities. Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must
• Ability to proactively identify issues and problem solving skills to address these
• Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team
• Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Excellent time management and planning capacity
• Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
• شهادة جامعية في إدارة الأعمال أو إدارة المشاريع أو المجال ذي الصلة.
• درجة عالية من التطور بين الأشخاص والإنجليزية + العربية
• خبرة لمدة عامين في العمل بالجوائز / المنح والعقود والاتفاقيات الفرعية
• الخبرة ذات الصلة في دعم المشاريع الممولة من الجهات المانحة مع المنظمات غير الحكومية الدولية
• كتابة التقارير القوية والمهارات التحليلية وقدرات التخطيط الاستراتيجي. محو الأمية الحاسوبية ومهارات التوثيق الممتازة أمر لا بد منه
• القدرة على تحديد القضايا بشكل استباقي ومهارات حل المشكلات لمعالجتها
• القدرة على إقامة والحفاظ على علاقات جماعية مواتية وأداء فعال كعضو في فريق
• وعي ثقافي متطور للغاية والقدرة على العمل بشكل جيد في بيئة دولية مع أشخاص من خلفيات وثقافات متنوعة
• إدارة الوقت والقدرة التخطيطية ممتازة
• التوافر والاستعداد للعمل لساعات إضافية خلال أوقات الاستجابة الإنسانية.
