Data Engineer
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
· Extract, transform, and load (ETL) large magnitudes of data.
Ideal candidates for this position must have experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), ETL and scripting. They should have practical knowledge of Big Data frameworks.
Key Requirements:
· A Bachelors degree in a related field
· Strong programming skills in at least one programming language (Python, Scala preferred).
· Exposure to one or more of the following: Data lakes, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Big Data platforms.
· Experience working with open source NOSQL technologies.
As well as:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Drive to learn new technologies, statistical methods and data manipulation techniques.
· Understand business context and challenges and articulate practical solutions.
· Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
